Your First Competition:
As Easy as 1-2-3!

Is your skater loving their Learn to Skate classes with Mountain View Skating Academy? Taking their first step into a competition is a fantastic way to build confidence, make friends, and show off those new skills!

Best of all, since the Portland Ice Skating Club is hosting the Pacific Crest Invitational right here at Mountain View Ice Arena on Saturday, May 2nd, it’s a low-stress way to get started.

We’ve demystified the process so you can focus on the fun.
Here is how it works:

01

Master the Basics in Class

No need to worry about choreography just yet! This session’s Learn to Skate classes are designed to provide all the fundamentals of a skating program. Your skater is already learning exactly what they need to succeed during their weekly lessons.

02

Connect With Your Coach

Want a little extra sparkle? Skaters can connect with their Learn to Skate coach to coordinate private coaching sessions. This is a great way to hone their program, build extra confidence, and get one-on-one attention on the specific moves they'll perform.

03

Sign Up Online

Once you’re ready, head over to the registration page. You’ll use your skater’s Learn to Skate member number to sign in. You’ll select your skater’s current level (Compete USA - Basic 1 through 6), pay the entry fee, and you’re officially on the roster. Check out our step-by step instructions if you need more help.

Registration closes March 29th, but could close earlier if space fills up. If you’re ready for this, don’t wait–register now.

Still Have Questions?

Don't worry—you aren't alone in this! Our Local Organizing Committee (LOC) is here to support you. Feel to e-mail us at LOC@pisc.org for help getting registered.

Once you register, we will provide regular follow-up emails and be there for you every step of the way. See you on the ice!
