Jack Snyder Memorial Fund (JSMF)

The Jack Snyder Memorial Fund was created to celebrate our lifelong member Jack Snyder. Jack and his wife Beverly worked quietly for decades with coaches and area hockey teams to assure that no serious skater lacked equipment for lack of funds.

The Memorial Fund established in Jack’s name provides funding in the form of scholarships to reimburse member skaters for some of the expenses of skating and training, much as Jack did in his lifetime. Beverly is an advisor to PISC for the fund.

Skater Eligibility

  • Current member in good standing with USFS and PISC

  • Two years of full PISC membership

  • A minimum of 5 hours of volunteer service at PISC and/or Jr. Board events

Test Eligibility

  • In-person or virtual tests hosted by PISC or another OSC club

  • Test must have been passed during the previous membership year (July 1st to June 30th)

  • Excludes tests covered by the George C. Felton Fund (Preliminary through Bronze dance tests)

Required Documents

  • Proof of test(s) passed, printed from USFS Members Only site

  • Completed application

 

Awards are subject to the availability of funds. Applications will be made available in July. Scholarships are awarded during the Club’s annual holiday party in December.
